Face to face

Human characteristics cannot be used to define God, for to do so would be to camouflage his omniscience, diminish is omnipotence, and ignore his vastness and complexity. But the use of human characteristics can reveal aspects of who he is by using language and images we understand, giving us a handle to grab hold of as we open our hearts and minds to know him better.
