Explore the truth and beauty of God with me …

One thing matters above all else—but all things matter.

All of life is sacred.

Yesterday is gone, but its imprint lingers.

Tomorrow is a gift, not a promise—but it is a gift with promise.

How do these statements sit with you? Do they ring with existential truth, or clatter like cliche? Do these words lead you to ponder the meaning of life—of your life? Or do they remind you of the motivational poster on the wall at the gym?

Seems the older I get the more questions circle my head at night. I believe what matters as much as the questions we entertain, and the answers we seek, is where we go with our questions. Who do we believe holds the answers? Where is the treasure box of wisdom and knowledge and truth?

It’s not here at BethBWhartnaby.com, that’s for sure—or on any other site you might visit. It’s not on Facebook, Instagram, CCN, or Fox News. It’s not at your grandmother’s knee or your best friends kitchen table. Any of these venues may in some way lead you around to an answer or two, or even point you toward The Truth. But none are the source of all truth.

The rock bottom, always solid, never changing truth of life—in fact life itself—is found in one place and one place only. God Himself.

That’s what this blog site is about.

Some posts will be short, some long. Some light, others weightier. My guess is that many will pose questions more than offer answers, and that’s ok. You are smart and you are curious and you have been created with a God honing device in your soul. Sometimes a good question is all you need to discover the answer for yourself!

I hope you will join me from time to time as we listen to God’s invitation to explore the truth and beauty of who he is. Let’s settle a little deeper into the One who matters above all else.
